This is an awesome devotional book! Both my husband and I have been Blessed as we read the daily devotions and share our thoughts. I strongly recommend this book!- Maggie

The writer is very knowledgeable in scripture. I love that he stands for what he believes and does not sway from it. I do not agree with everything that he says but that was to be expected as we do not share the same beliefs. I am however still reading this book as I find it interesting. I do like that he backs up what he perceives as right with scripture.- TLC

.....and don't shut your mind off to what this author's saying because it's not what you've heard in the past. I was tempted to do this and I'm glad I chose not to.

Ask God to reveal to you the truth re: marriage. Sometimes we've heard what our culture has said is the right thing to do or just do it without questioning and measuring it up against the only truth there is, the Word of God.

Thank you Joshua for taking the time to explain what few have dared to do. - Lady Di

The author is very well-informed with the topic of marriage. With the ever increasing rates of failed marriages, the redefinition of marriage, and the decline in stronger family core values, I agree that a clearer perspective on marriage is necessary. - Jesse

What people are saying:

Joshua Paul's book goes above and beyond the topic of marriage. He bravely exposes a deeply hidden lie that has hoodwinked unknowing couples for years and years!  This well researched book covers the topic of not just the absolute fraud of marriage licenses but other powerful agendas as well.

He accurately describes the elements of a Godly marriage from a heavenly perspective. In addition to his telling exposé, he offers a Christ-like redemptive message and a solution to the problem.  This is not some guy with an outlandish opinion of what he thinks the government has done. This is a well researched guidebook with legitimate sited sources to boot!

My husband and I recommend this book to our betrothed friends, married friends, divorced friends and everyone in between! 5 STARS and a ***MUST READ*** for couples everywhere!!! - Renna

As a mother of 5 i wish that I had read this prior to signing a marriage license. As a mother it is my job while not being anxious about anything, to protect my children from deception. When they were in my womb I dedicated them to the Lord, it was eye opening legally under a marriage license "who's they are." Not on my watch! - Sophia Totra

This is one of the premier books of our day! No one is talking about this. For any one who is getting married- this book is very important that you read before moving forward in the current cultural system of "marriage." To those who are married please read and be informed! This is very sobering the things we say yes to without knowing, yet are strategically planned by our government. - nomad2414

The timing of this book can only be “in God’s time” given the recent ruling of the Supreme Court on same sex marriage. The Lord calls Christians to be set apart. Marriage use to do that but not anymore. There are options and this book presents them.

Recall the words of your pastor: “And now by the authority granted to me by the state of: fill in the name of your state, I now pronounce you Man and Wife.” And you signed the state’s marriage license. You just made a deal with the government.

Why not: “And now by the authority granted to me by the Lord God All Mighty, I now pronounce you Man and Wife.” And you record the event on the pages of your family bible. Whom do you want to make a deal with?

Thought provoking and well laid-out this book gives you a biblical understanding of the implications of the Marriage License. - Amazon Customer

Excellent resource!!! Biblically-based...Was having "concerns" about marriage licenses prior to reading this book, but after reading it, am thoroughly convinced marriage licenses are not the way to go. Common law marriage is a perfect alternative and lines up with my Christian values. Joshua Paul includes practical helps regarding common law marriage. He also explores other aspects of marriage including divorce and remarriage. This book has a strong scriptural basis throughout. - Stephen Lewis

Marriage is the biggest commitment made to another human. Author did a great job explore the meaning and effect of obtaining marriage license, which in many ways, contradict the original intention and purpose what the holy bible say about marriage. Fear man is many, but fearing God is few. This book give a very biblical view of marriage. Afterall, marriage license is a government issued pieces of paper that create a three party relationship, husband, wife and the state. Instead of marriage license, author suggest common law marriage should be used. The more I read about it and the scripture, the more I agree with the point made in this book. In case you're thinking and researching on whether to get marriage license, I recommend this book to give you a new perspective about marriage license. Marriage should not be bound by the license, it should be a commitment and covenant made between two human in front of God. This covenant is designed to last forever, never end. May God bless your marriage! - Wingfu Lau

At first, I was a bit apprehensive about reading this book. Probably like many others, I had my preconceived ideas and associations about marriage and what it means to not actually have a marriage license. For example, growing up I had always associated "common-law marriage" with people who choose to just live together and not get married. This is because the only people I had ever known who had a common-law marriage were those who lived together for years (and thus technically became "married"). Similarly, before reading the book, I was unsure and unclear as to how the idea of not getting a marriage license could be in line with the word of God. But I will say that after reading this book, I definitely came away with a new understanding of what the actual laws are concerning marriage, state licenses, constitutional rights, clarity on how things line up with the bible, and the options a person has in regards to it all. This book was very enlightening and thought-provoking! I would encourage all Christians to consider reading it and becoming more aware of the laws regarding marriage licenses and our rights as citizens of this country. Given the most recent Supreme Court decision regarding same-sex marriage, all Christians would do well to ask themselves, "What role should government play in my marriage? What decisions will I make in response to it all?" Reading this book will help bring clarity as to the options that are available. - Corrie Graves

This book exposes everything. Do not marry the government by tying your soul to what's ungodly. Be wise. Joshua is a true prophet in this arena to our generation! - Sherlock

It is very apparent that the author not only has passion for this topic, but has put in the due hours of research as well. It is not something many in the Christian community have considered and Joshua Paul delivers a compelling argument that is applicable to any Christian considering marriage. For that purpose, I highly recommend this book. - Maxwell Stitt

The history of how the marriage license was birthed was very eye opening. Joshua Paul makes a compelling case for marriage licenses being used to generate money and control over us. Rather than solidifying marriages, these licenses can have a detrimental effect on marriages. Worth examining before entering into a marriage covenant and realizing that marriage licenses are NOT our only option for legitimizing marriage! - E. Chen

An important and thorough discussion on the subject of returning Marriage to God's purview, by refusing to put it in the hands of the government entity that endlessly plays at trying to be a god. For those that have uttered the words, "Thy Kingdom come, " marriage is a fundamental starting point! - California Guy

Once I started reading the book I could not put it down. It was a very refreshing, easy to read, thought provoking, revelatory book that spoke to my spirit. and gave me hope for my future!

I am so happy to live in the United States of America, where we all have the religious freedom to marry and enter into a covenant marriage with God instead of a covenant with the state, who currently does not recognize, THE ORIGINAL AUTHOR of marriage. Now that we realize that signing a covenant with the state may imply more than we have asked for it, is time to us to take back marriage. Lets take back REAL marriage covenant and let God hover over the covenant for us. I personally believe that honoring a covenant with God will bring the long awaited blessings we desire in the marriage relationship. Lets honor THE covenant keeper.

We trust you God! Forgive us for not taking your creative genius of marriage serious. May marriage be the REAL union, we have always longed for in Eden and let it to be what is was intended, since the beginning of time. - Annette

A book for our times. Truth from a Christian perspective. - Joseph Romero

-----------------------

After reading this book, I will never see marriage licenses in the same way.

Joshua Paul writes an eye-opening, highly informative book exposing the potential setbacks of obtaining a typical marriage license.

Paul also offers practical know-how and steps to take in order for couples to enter a more scriptural based marriage. - Jesse

Joshua Paul has done his research thoroughly and truly has a heart for freedom, truth, and the sanctity of marriage. - Stella Atkinson

Marriage License Fraud is a must read. Marriage is a holy covenant between husband and wife unto God and not an ungodly contract with the government through a marriage license. This book brings much clarity through scripture, history and revealing truths on the dangers of the marriage license. It also gives very practical solutions on how to be legally married without one. Romans 12:2 "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." It is very timely message in light of the supreme court decision and the reality of the times we live in and what is coming. - Teresa

Marriage License Fraud exposes some clear deceptions we as a people have been believing that surround the topic of marriage in the USA. It also communicates both a Biblical and legal solution as to how followers of Jesus are to approach marriage rightly in the sight of God, apart from the State marriage license. - Dale Falk

-------------------------

I found the book thought provoking. It make sense why the marriages in the U.S. are following apart, and why the church has lost much influence in society because it is more like society than like the Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. - Floyd Bonneson
